Regenerative Stem Cell Therapy
What is Regenerative Stem Cell Therapy?
The regenerative medicine used at Virtue of Health is composed of multiple factors that are naturally created within the body. During the time of the therapy, the only additive is a numbing agent to help with the ease of the procedure. The regenerative stem cell therapy is used to repair, or regenerate, areas in the body that are damaged or degenerated. This is given through ONE, one-time injection that assists the body to repair naturally by giving it what it needs to heal without the need for invasive surgery. It has 0% chance for rejection and no necessary aggressive rehabilitation.
What should I expect with the procedure and when should I expect results?
The injection is safely administered in the medical office and allows for the patient to walk out immediately after the procedure is completed. During the regenerative injection appointment, the amount of time varies depending on the type of injury/injuries being addressed. The prep time usually is around 15-20 minutes, followed by identifying the injection location. An ultrasound is used to find the exact location of injury and for precision of injection. The actual injection itself lasts 15 seconds or less. Soreness is expected over the next 24-48 hours. This soreness is related to the injection triggering the body to initiate the natural healing response.
The regeneration period varies with the individual person, their injury and the severity of the injury. It has been noted that patients start to feel the benefits of regenerative therapy within the first month and optimally at three months. Some people feel significantly better and without deficits prior to the 3-month mark, while others may require the entire 3-month period. The regenerative product, that Virtue of Health uses, is 97% effective in soft tissue.
Although vigorous activities, such as running, weightlifting, exercise with added tension etc., should be avoided for several weeks, most people return to their jobs the next day.
What does regenerative therapy treat?
The regenerative injections can treat a variety of conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, problems with shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet. These problems most commonly are associated with the joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscles. Many patients are informed that surgery is the only option for moderate to severe conditions. However, this is not always the case. Many times, regenerative medicine replaces the need for any surgical procedure.
